Trust You, sung by Yuna Ito, was chosen as the ending song for MS Gundam 00 Season Two. It was released last March 4 as the title song for her 13th single. It features her strong vocals, accompanied with violin and jpop beats which complement Yuna’s vocal styles. 

This song got me hooked the first time i heard it while watching the anime and i just knew this totally would make my list. 

Plot Summary:

2312 A.D. Four years have passed since the final battle between Celestial Being and the UN Forces. Humanity, after having established the Earth Sphere Federation, forms an independent security force, A-LAWS, separate from the formal Federation army to further unify nations and the will of mankind. But in reality it is simply inhumane oppression of anti-government powers, doctrines, and ideologies in the name of unity. Setsuna F. Seiei, after surviving the battle four years ago, has decided to once again fight with his Gundam.

Hitomi Kuroishi’s Continued Story was featured on Code Geass R2 as an insert song and was released on the album “Angel Feather Voice”. It is a continuation for a previous song featured during the first season of Code Geass, called Stories. Hitomi’s voice is indeed very angelic with her songs for Code Geass. Continued Story features a mellow but catchy beat along with a violin accompaniment that definitely compliment’s Hitomi’s ethereal vocals.

This is actually one of my favorite animes, and it’s so good it’s on my list of animes with a high re-watch value. 

Plot Summary:

The Empire of Britannia has invaded Japan using giant robot weapons called Knightmare Frames. Japan is now referred to as Area 11, and its people the 11′s. A Britannian who was living in Japan at the time, Lelouch, vowed to his Japanese friend Suzaku that he’d destroy Britannia. Years later, Lelouch is in high school, but regularly skips out of school to go play chess and gamble on himself. One day, he stumbles on terrorists 11′s who’ve stolen a military secret and is caught by a member of the Britannian task force sent after them, who is Suzaku. As the rest of the squad arrives, Suzaku is shot for disobeying orders, while the military secret, a young girl, gives Lelouch the power of Geass, which makes anyone obey any order. While Suzaku is secretly made the pilot of Britannia’s brand new prototype Knightmare, Lancelot, Lelouch becomes the masked Zero to lead the rebellion to destroy Britannia once and for all.

Still Doll was Kanon Wakeshima’s first single and it was chosen as the ending theme for Vampire Knight’s first season. It features an elegant melody with Kanon Wakeshima herself playing the cello, along with electronic sounds tucked along with the classical feel of the music. Kanon Wakeshima’s airy voice gives the song more appeal and it fits the ambience set in Vampire Knight very well. 

The lyrics of the song, written by Kanon Wakeshima, seem to tell a psychological narrative that is Kanon’s way of enhancing a song’s quality.

Meanwhile, the anime Vampire Knight is an adaptation of a manga with the same name. 

Plot Summary:

Yuuki’s earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, wherein she was attacked by a vampire… And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryuu, a childhood friend who’s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname’s infatuation with Yuuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her? Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.
